Love Me Love My Mind chosen as charity of the year for Marks & Spencer Epsom
Love Me Love My Mind is a small, registered charity based in Epsom, which aims to promote a greater understanding of mental health and also offers support to people with mental health concerns. They hold two weekly drop-in sessions which enable people to come along and share their concerns or just to be supported in a safe space in the company of others and a weekly self-help group for people experiencing anxiety or depression.
One of its great achievements is the annual Epsom Mental Health and Well-Being Festival, with a varied programme of activities and events which are all FREE to attend. We’re looking forward to October as this year’s theme is “New Beginnings” and each day will bring new experiences and opportunities.
What is also truly remarkable about Love Me Love My Mind is that it is run entirely by volunteers and exists because of people’s generosity – from the volunteers who give their time and those who provide financial support through donations, grants and legacies. We really couldn’t do it without you.
Sam Cope, Store Manager M&S Epsom, said” I am very proud the store team chose Love Me Love My Mind as our charity to support for the year 2018/2019. We look forward to working together to raise funds and awareness over the coming year’
Sue Bull, Chair of LMLMM, said “To have been chosen as Epsom Marks & Spencer’s Charity of the Year was a great surprise and we are delighted that, by supporting us in this way, you have recognised the valuable part we play in promoting well-being. So, to all of you we would like to say a very big THANK-YOU.”
